WAJ Studio was commissioned to design this ambitious five-storey fit-out in central London, led by Will Parker in close collaboration with Lorenzo Lo Schiavo of Studio Palma Palma Palma and the gallery founder Nicoletta Bellm. The project brought together multiple disciplines — including specialist bronze work with James Hillman and a curated art and interiors programme through LAMB Arts and Bentler + Bellm.

Lipley & Parker were brought in to detail and fabricate key elements throughout the project. We worked closely with James Hillman — one of the few remaining Florentine artisans practising traditional lost-wax bronze casting — to realise a series of bespoke bronze components. These were cast in Florence and delivered to London, where we designed and built the supporting infrastructure to integrate them seamlessly into the final scheme.

One key feature included a hand-forged steel stair subframe, fabricated in-house and fitted with a cast bronze rope handrail. The structure was then clad in oak to conceal the mass of the steelwork, giving the finished stair a refined, lightweight presence.

Another standout was the “galaxy floor” — a poured black screed embedded with custom-cut marble inlays, designed to resemble planetary forms across a darkened plane. Each element was laid by hand and finished in situ, creating a unique focal point within the space.
