Commissioned by professional athletes Ben and Leanne, this minimalist home gym was designed to sit quietly within a long West London garden, tucked behind a mature sycamore tree. Despite its understated appearance, the build involved substantial technical complexity.
Extensive groundwork and steel reinforcement were required due to multiple mature trees and root protection constraints. Given the proximity to neighbouring boundaries, the structure was pre-clad and flat-clad on all sides, demanding a carefully coordinated waterproofing strategy to ensure longevity and performance.
The gym was designed by Robin Morgan, with equipment supplied by Peloton, and integrates seamlessly into its setting — offering a calm, focused space for training while respecting the natural and built context.
